Artist's interpretation of what the camp might have looked like based on descriptions from Leland Pauly

Lone Cabin / Shake Camp

A current view of the place Leland Pauly believes the Shake Camp could have been. At one time there was a cabin here with workers like "Shake Charlie" producing piles of "shakes" from the giant sugar pines. The shakes were needed by homesteaders coming into the country. The place was also known as "Lone Cabin".
